Historically and architecturally significant eighteenth-century stone former dwelling physically moved across State Route 144 in Ellicott City, Maryland, and rehabilitated for commercial office usage. Two and a half story stone rear addition to original house dismantled and reconstructed on new site from stones salvaged from deconstruction. All work was performed in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, and the project received grand awards in national competitions sponsored by Professional Builder and Remodeler, and Remodeling magazines. It also received the “Project of the Year Award” in 1991 from the Maryland Homebuilders Association Remodeler’s Council and a Preservation Project Award from the Maryland Historical Trust.
