Sponsored by the University of Florida, this program provided hands-on training in techniques of building investigation and documentation under the direction of acknowledged experts in Historic Preservation. The following summer, I served on a HABS (Historic American Buildings Survey) field team documenting historic structures in Santa Clara, California.
